I see these by the truckload. It never gets easier. It’s worse than the new Prius. At least that is completely hideous, they didn’t take something that looks pretty great and then ruin it.

I might be the owner of a 1999 or 2001? New Beetle soon.

It was my grandma’s. It’s that rad orange color with aftermarket sport wheels and a manual trans (5spd?) Any who, the transmission doesn’t work and it needs a lot of little random things (a good proper service, wear items, and cosmetic details). Is there anything else I should look out for?

Is it a 2.slow or a 1.8T? The 2.slow us indestructible. But on the 1.8T you’ll need a cool-pack conversion kit from 034 to run the FSI coil packs, and make sure TB/WP is up to date.

They drive like a sport truck, can comfortably carry 4 real-sized adults, look beautiful inside and out, but still Is very authoritative in its exterior design, and is just an all-around awesome car.

That’s a matter of options. Styling is always subjective. I, for one, love the styling of the X4 and X6.

I've sat in an X6, and my hair still touches the roof. There's more headroom in my Z3.

X6 is barf-o-rama, but I’m actually okay with the X4. I feel the same way about the 5GT vs the 3GT, I find the 3GT relatively acceptable, still ugly though.

Quirky bodystyles work better on smaller form factors I think.
